By Your wounds, I am healed

A scraped knee brings a little one to tears ...the sting lingers.
How to make it better?
Sweet words of reassurance from mom (and a band-aid).

I can't fathom what Jesus did for me on the Cross 2000 years ago. Betrayal. Mockery. Beaten. Bruised. Skin ripped open. Blood shed. And ultimately ... Death.

No one was there to comfort Him. Felt forsaken by His Father. No amount of band-aids can hide or protect His wounds.

For what (or for whom) did He suffer such horrific death?

For the sake of demonstrating God's love (John 3:16).

And for my sake ... to wash away all my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7,9).

My response to an undeserved love?

Accept. Believe. Confess.

Thank you Lord for Your sacrifice at Calvary. By Your wounds, I am healed.
